I highly recommend Zach and Shackles & Shackles to anyone buying or selling a home in Colorado. They truly provide 5 star service. We decided to move out of state to be close to family and initially had a lot of anxiety trying to sell our home while completely living out of state. Zach and team quickly eased our concerns and were there every step of the way. It was an easy process and Zach exceeded all of our expectations. The house quickly sold even in tough market conditions. I couldn’t be more impressed with Zach’s professionalism, knowledge, and service excellence.

"We met Zach Shackles through living in the same neighborhood as him and could not have been luckier to do so. We had moved out of state prior to going on the market so he organized the photographers, house keepers, junk removal and handy men. Zach not only was our realtor but our neighbor as well, shoveling our driveway, checking the lights, pulling out trash cans. He went above and beyond for the needs of our home sale and we could not be more impressed with his business. We also love working with his father and felt like part of the family. Would recommend to anyone selling their home especially in Lakewood since he is a native to the area."

"After buying and selling five homes over the past 30 years, I can say without hesitation that working with Zach was the best real estate experience I have ever had. From the very beginning, he was proactive, communicative, and genuinely invested in getting the best outcome for me. He came with a trusted network of professionals ready to go — an excellent listing photographer, carpet and house cleaners, and repair contractors who responded quickly and did quality work at reasonable prices. When inspection items came up, he was able to get them handled promptly through his network. Those kinds of contacts make a big difference, and it's clear he's built those relationships carefully over time.His market expertise was also spot-on; he knows Lakewood and the surrounding areas like the back of his hand. He priced my home in Green Gables Reserve with precision (and higher than I expected), and it sold in just 34 days, while the current average time on market in this area is more than twice that long. He backed it up with excellent marketing and held two open houses, then personally followed up with every buyer's agent who brought a client through for a showing. In my experience, that level of diligence is rare. Once we went under contract, he also maintained excellent communication with me and the buyer’s realtor, which made the entire process very easy. He also went above and beyond in ways that genuinely surprised me. When I hadn't lined up a lawn service in time for the final walk through, he came over and mowed my entire lawn himself. Was it necessary? No. Was it worth it give the buyers a lovely, lasting positive impression of their new home? Absolutely. He also came over for the final walk through and we were able to give the buyers a really helpful overview of the house and the neighborhood. Literally everyone walked away from this transaction happy. This effort says everything about Zach’s character and his commitment to his clients. If you are buying or selling a home and want someone who is pleasant, knowledgeable, resourceful, hard-working, and truly cares about the outcome, Zach should be your first choice."

"Zach did an outstanding job helping us close on our first home—he truly went to battle for us. He negotiated the price down, secured a 3% seller concession, and pointed us toward the right people for inspections and other key parts of the process. The listing agent on the other side wasn’t the easiest to deal with, but Zach handled it like a pro and found a way to get us in the door. This was the one house we looked at that felt out of reach, and somehow he made it happen. Highly recommend Zach if you’re buying or selling—our experience was a solid 10/10."

"We worked primarily with Zach, but had many meetings with and assistance from Jim as well. They were both unbelievably amazing to work with. As first-time home buyers, Zach walked us through each and every step from the beginning. This not only made us feel more at ease, but better able to make a smart decision with buying a home! Zach was very knowledgeable about every area of Denver that we were interested in and helped us hone our search down to a few neighborhoods. He also was helpful in creating accurate expectations for prices/rates/etc for the current market. When it came to seeing houses, as soon as we had sent one that we liked to Zach, he was reaching out to the other agents and getting tours setup. He also was sending us houses he'd found that he thought we'd be interested in. When it came to the home we ended up putting an offer in on, both Zach and Jim lended us extensive expertise in how to approach negotiations to get the best outcome. He was helpful in communicating with the other agent, advocating for us with the other agent throughout negotiations, and communicating our points. Especially as first-time home buyers, I absolutely do not think we would have gotten as good of a deal on our home without them! After getting under contract, Zach helped us remain unbelievably organized with deadlines and was very helpful in completing the inspection and subsequent maintenance tasks for the home. He always had great recommendations for contracters, etc and helped us reach out to schedule appointments. We will absolutely be utilizing Jim and Zach again when we buy our next home and would recommend them to any prospective home buyer or renter."
